Physical Details: 7 x 10 inches
Description: The Jacob D. Dold Packing Company caught fire on July 16, 1901. The fire started in the lard packing house. The plant consisted of three main buildings, and two of them, the killing and cooling buildings, were completely destroyed. F. W. Dold was the general manager and the plant was located on the corner of 21st and Lawrence (Broadway). The plant was rebuilt on the same address. The Dold meat packing plant closed in 1940.
