Description: No evidence of women commercial photographers exists in these collections; however, this image of Miss Minnie Ems with her camera verifies that women, too, were interested in photography for personal or artistic reasons. Little biographical information is known about Ems. The 1916 city directory describes her as a student at Wichita Business College. This education led her to a life-long career as Office Manager and Treasurer of Price Auto Service. She worked there from 1924-1974.
