Osborne had been the Vice President of Van Arsdale-Osborne Brokerage Company and had built the house about 1902. Mrs. Morgan lived in the house until 1926. After standing vacant for a time, Alonzo A. and Margaret Towner bought the house in 1928. Towner was a chemist for the Red Star Milling Company.
