Description: Construction on the Bitting Building, 107 North Market, at the northwest corner of Market and Douglas. The Bitting brothers, Charles W. and A. W., had a clothing store here since about 1886. The prior building caught fire in January 1911, and a four-story brick building quickly replaced it. In 1919, seven additional floors were added.
